The GI Cancer Institute has a growing volunteer program. Our volunteers are highly valued and make a real difference to our ability to fund clinical trials cancer research.

Volunteer opportunities currently involve:

  • General office and administrative support – we can always use help with our database and other administrative jobs.
  • Communications, social media and media – can you write, are you a budding journalist, interested in social media for organisations – we have plenty of opportunities to help us in the communications arena.
  • Join our Engage network of cancer patients, survivors and their families and friends. Engage is looking for passionate volunteers to work on the development of this network in a variety of administrative roles.  Engage aims to share information about cancer patients journeys and clinical trials information, and we’re currently looking for copywriters with a medical background to help compile this information.
  • Volunteers who would like to run their own fundraising event.
