Funding GI Cancer

Funding

The Australasian Gastro-Intestinal Trials Group (AGITG) is a not-for-profit organisation.

For the AGITG, the contributions from government, industry, participating institutions, investments, donors and members provides the resource framework and the scope through which the company can pursue its objectives and central purpose.

As funding becomes more difficult to obtain, our focus is on achieving a balance of funding that is sustainable, flexible and diversified to meet our scientific opportunities.

To achieve balanced funding:

  • We are expanding our international network and strengthening links with other successful organisations
  • Instigating new initiatives, such as the AGITG Innovation Fund, that provide more opportunities for our members
  • Collaborating with funding bodies to develop effective responses to the milestone management processes necessary for most clinical trials
  • Continue developing community engagement and fundraising programs through the GI Cancer Institute.

For more information on current infrastructure grants and funding for specific research, please visit the Clinical Trials section and the latest Annual Report.

  • Addressing key unanswered questions and sharing our knowledge.

Thank you to our many supporters – including government, industry partners, corporate sponsors and individuals in our community. This support and continued success of programs, such as The Gutsy Challenge and Engage Forums will provide greater flexibility and expand our research capacity in the future.
