Engage Community Forums are continuing to be a great success, with our most recent events in Albury, NSW (20 October) and Gawler, SA (27 October).
Engage Community Forums are free events, that provide valuable information about GI cancer to patients, survivors, carers, family members and the wider community.
Highlights from the Gawler Forum included presentations about GI cancer from AGITG Chair, Associate Professor Tim Price and Senior AGITG member Associate Professor Chris Karapetis, as well as an impromptu aerobics lesson from Tricia La Bella, as she gave tips to improve your Quality of Life during treatment. In Albury, we were fortunate to hear from cancer survivors Peter Batson and Alan Pottie, as they shared their stories and answered questions from the audience.
The events have continued to provide a chance for participants to learn more about GI Cancer and the support resources available in their local area.
