Payroll/Workplace Giving and Matched Giving
Payroll or workplace giving, or giving regularly, is a simple and effective way for employees to make regular, tax-effective donations to the GI Cancer Institute. Tax benefits are immediate, and committing to regular donations not only reduces our fund-raising costs but helps us plan ahead.
You can join, alter or withdraw from payroll giving at any time.
Benefits of payroll giving:
Donations are deducted from your pre-tax salary, reducing your taxable income. For example, to give $100 costs you around $69 per month (based on a taxable income of $25,0001 and $75,000). Add matched giving by the employer and suddenly that $69 generates $200 for charity!
- You can give as much or as little as you like.
- Some employers will match your donation.
- Automatic tax deductions means you don’t need to keep track of receipts.
- You can join, alter or withdraw payroll giving at any time.
To participate in workplace giving, ask your employer to include the GI Cancer Institute on their workplace giving list of charities.
