2020 Bungle Bungles Gutsy Challenge
Join our Bungle Bungles Gutsy Challenge in June 2020!
From June 21-27, AGITG members Katie Benton and Dr. Belinda Steer will lead this Gutsy Challenge.
With specially chartered flights in and out of Purnululu, participants of this Gutsy Challenge will experience the National Park away from the usual tourist route.
Join this Gutsy Challenge today for a truly unique, challenging and rewarding experience.
This moderate to challenging Gutsy Challenge will take you through waterholes and caves as you soak in the wild seclusion of the domes. Trekking approximately 40kms over six days of the Gutsy Challenge, you will cover some difficult terrain including rock hopping and scrambling.
Starting with an unforgettable sunrise flight over the Ord River and Lake Argyle you will get your first sight of the Bungle Bungles by air.
You will carry everything you need for the five days of the trek, winding through the red and black beehive like sandstone domes to your base camp for the first two nights. This frees you to then start exploring the splendid isolation of this World Heritage listed national park on a series of day walks.
All funds raised from this Gutsy Challenge will help to support research into new treatment options and outcomes for the 38 people who die every day from GI cancer.
