ACORD Protocol Development Workshop

APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN FOR THE ACORD PROTOCOL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

9-14 September 2018

The Medical Oncology Group of Australia recently opened the online application process for the 2018 Australia and Asia Pacific Clinical Oncology Research Development (ACORD) 1 week Protocol Development Workshop.

Junior clinicians and early stage researchers across all oncology and allied health disciplines in the Asia-Pacific region are invited to apply for a place on this career-enhancing education program in clinical trials design and development.

The Workshop is a week-long residential educational program in clinical trials design and development.

Around 73 junior clinicians and early stage researchers from the Asia-Pacific and a world class faculty of international leaders in cancer research, will come together for this unique oncology training program to develop clinical trials expertise and build professional networks.

The AGITG Board has determined that the Group should support participation in the ACORD Protocol Development Workshops to both support early career researchers in their career development and to provide a mechanism for GI cancer research concepts to be further developed with the aim to increase the number of AGITG trials conducted.

Applicants with concepts relevant to GI cancer research may apply to the AGITG for financial support to cover the $2,000 registration fee. There are no other costs to attend.

Please contact Russell Conley ASAP if you wish to apply for AGITG support or know of an early career researcher who could be supported to attend and develop a protocol.
