Blue Sky Gutsy Adventure in the Blue Mountains

With 11 people, 26,000 steps, an elevation gain of 600 meters, over 17km distance, a moving time of nearly six hours and nearly $20,000 in donations raised, the 2024 Blue Mountains Gutsy Challenge was a huge success!

It was a beautiful, sunny day with perfect weather conditions for trekking. The walk was long and at times challenging, but the group stayed motivated by the stories that were shared, the lively chatter from the back of the line and the fascinating facts about the landscape and wildlife from the trusty guide.

Haryana Dhillon, Blue Mountains Gutsy Challenge Leader, said: “As someone who works to address the challenges confronting people after a cancer diagnosis and the challenges faced by the people who love them, it was inspiring spending the day getting to know all of the participants and taking part in such a lovely trek.”

Thank you to Haryana and to the 10 other inspiring people who took part to fundraise and help support GI cancer research. We are incredibly grateful for our dedicated trekkers and the donors and friends who helped support them along the way.
