On 22nd September, 21 runners went out and conquered the Blackmore running festival to support GI cancer research.
It was wonderful to see our supporters out there in their GI Cancer Institute t-shirts. There was a Gutsy Challenge team from Australian Gift & Homewares Association as well as a team of Gutsy Challenge runners made up of gutsy individuals. We had runners, representing GI Cancer Institute in every race from the Marathon to the family fun run.
Through the efforts of our wonderful runners we raised over $17,000 for GI cancer research — well done to everyone.
What a great day it was — the weather was perfect and the atmosphere joyous. Not to mention after the run enjoying a celebratory drink with our team. We will be organising more fun runs so if you are interested in doing one in your city please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
