This two day intensive learning course is based on complete review of literature to understand evolution of treatment for colorectal cancer in the adjuvant and metastatic setting, in the context of current treatment paradigms.
Learning is in small group interactive sessions along the Harvard short course model. Aimed at advanced trainees/junior consultants in Medical, Radiation and Surgical Oncology, the format will be that of a short course (retreat) with learning in small groups, active participation from attendees with regard to reviewing papers, presenting cases etc.
Topics that will be covered:
- Basic biology and translational science of CRC and current therapies
- Seminal papers in adjuvant therapy of CRC
- Seminal papers in therapy of mCRC
- Treatment paradigms for mCRC
- Treatment pathways involving liver resection to achieve cure
