Introducing the Patient Central Hub

Many healthcare professionals and patient organisations in Australia develop projects leading to better care for cancer patients and improving quality of life for these people. Unfortunately, these projects are often only implemented at the institution where the initiative was developed.

All cancer patients in Australia should enjoy the benefits of these projects.

What is the Patient Central Hub?

Patient Central Hub (, an initiative of Servier, is a platform for healthcare professionals and patient organisations in oncology to share their projects for improving care and quality of life of Australians living with cancer.

This represents a focal point for all these projects, so that other hospitals and patient organisations can read about and implement them. This means as many patients living with cancer as possible can benefit from the positive effects of these projects.

Existing projects are welcome

Is there a project running at your hospital or organisation that;

  • improves the care and quality of life of patients with cancer?
  • can be usable in, or be transferable to other healthcare institutions?
  • was developed by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals?

If your project ticks yes to all those questions,

Then put it forward to compete for the Patient Central Award 2021!

You could take the next steps in your project using the award of AUD $10,000 or make your hospital or organisation more patient-centric in some other way.

But above all, you are sharing your project which will be seen by other healthcare institutions who may utilise it to improve quality of life and care for all patients with cancer in Australia.

You can submit a project until June 1, 2021. The Patient Central Award winner will be announced in November 2021.
