Neither rain nor COVID stopped 100 kind souls from turning up to the the Alex and Adam Memorial Golf Day last weekend to raise $4,000 for GI cancer research.
Thanks to John Paduano, the Golf Day was a great success.
John has held a Memorial Golf Day each year after his son Alex sadly passed away from bowel cancer in 2018. Since then, he has dedicated his time and efforts to support research to help future generations of GI cancer patients.
“The day started at 7am by cooking a bacon and egg breakfast, and then moved on to much laughter from the joy of positive people getting together to support a good cause. The day was completed by a hilarious auctioneer, followed by a 60s band which played on till 6pm,” says John.
A big thank you also the Mollymook Golf Club and it’s Senior Pro Barry West who facilitated the event logistics. We are incredibly grateful to John for his continuous support, helping to fund better treatment options for GI cancer patients.
