Translational Research Model
Purpose
The purpose of this model is to develop translational research in collaboration with basic scientists, preclinical and industry partners, by providing access to stored biological specimens acquired from studies that have subsequently closed.
Translational Research Report
The Translational Research Report lists the biological samples collected from completed AGITG trials.
Translational Research - Report
Translational Research Report is generated quarterly and published on AGITG website
Translational Research Report
The Translational Research Report will list the biological samples available for access. The report will include the following details:
- Trial name. Studies where AGITG is ‘regional’ coordinating centre will be noted on the report, with details of the lead group.
- Recruitment
- Trial status
- Types of specimens expected for collection
- Status of specimen collection
- Translational sub-studies identified and status
Researchers are invited to submit an application to access the stored specimens
Application Form
Researchers are invited to submit an application form to access the biospecimens detailing:
- Translational concept
- Ethics approval
- Availability of funding
- Timeframe for anticipated commencement and completion of the study
- Type and volume of biospecimens required
The application with be reviewed by the relevant Trial Management Committee.
Access requests will be reviewed by the relevant TMC
Concepts
Concepts will be prioritised based on:
- Scientific merit
- Alignment with AGITG Research Priorities
- Volume of samples available
Access to specimens is subject to AGITG Publications Policy
Approved concepts will be required to adhere to the AGITG Publications Policy.
